PACK: Productivity, Accountability, Community & Knowledge

034 // Thor's Day

Happy Thor's Day!

In case you missed it before, Thor's Day is a head nod to a post I shared in the past about the Nordic origins of Thursday, and how I treat Thursdays as my "ask day".

Today I'm going to share a bit about a mastermind group I've been running since 2016 called The Pack.

What is The Pack?

The Pack is a mastermind group I started back in 2016. It came at a time when I was in between jobs, experiencing loneliness as a job-seeker, and seeking high-performing peers.

I first learned about "The Mastermind" after reading Napoleon Hill's book Think & Grow Rich. And since I was obsessed with wolves at the time (still kinda am), I saw a correlation between what Hill described, and how wolf packs worked together to achieve goals.

So, I put out the idea to form The Pack, a mastermind group focused on Productivity, Accountability, Community & Knowledge (P.A.C.K.) - see what I did there? - and the rest was history.

Who's The Pack for?

Since this group has been running for the last 6 years, I've learned a lot about who it best resonates with. The Pack typically works well with "lone wolf" types who are:

  • Entrepreneurial

  • Community-driven

  • Privately "spiritual", but not religious

  • Inventive and enterprising

  • Possibly "in transition"

These "lone wolf" types often deal with "lone wolf syndrome", which may include any one of the following:

  • Asking for help

  • Experiencing dysfunctional teams, families, or communities

  • Struggling with loneliness or isolation

  • Lacking accountability or self-discipline

  • Feeling misunderstood

  • Perfectionism

How The Pack has been helping people

In the above video, you can see me talking with an early Packster (the name we have for members of The Pack) about the origins of the group. We also dive into wolf symbolism and how it relates to entrepreneurship, work, and life. Below is taken from our end-of-round survey. We often run our groups in cohorts on a quarterly basis (2-3 months), but allow you to pay monthly.

Here are some testimonials directly from members:

"Emotional support, and perspective on professional decisions. Helped me clear my my mind. I felt supported by non judgmental and active listening"

"The daily scrums help me daily to stay in routine, without it now it makes such a notable difference. I also love the support from packsters and always jump off a call feeling better if i had a bad day."

"Gave structure and purpose to what I'm doing - provided a roadmap for the year and beyond - what I want to achieve, and how to get there. Can't say enough about how much the Feedback Framework has helped me beyond the Pack. A supportive community of Packsters, interesting to read more about everyone's sharings, kinda feeling like a second family?"

"I've been able to save for security, a bit for the future, and enough for expenses. Plus, I've been educating myself more on the topic. I have a new project I'm working on that I'm in the process of that has been prompted by my community. Then, my health -- skin and gut issues (symptomatically) have almost completely disappeared. I'm feeling way more resilient and capable to handle the difficult challenges that have come my way during the pack."
