Walking two worlds

Yesterday, I stumbled upon a stunning article on National Geographic about First Nations reasserting their sovereignty:

I thought it was great to witness, as we've seen and heard the plight of indigenous and First Nations peoples all over the world, but have yet to [significantly] do much about it. Despite the attempts to systematically remove them for various nations across the world, they've survived and are now beginning to rise.

There are, of course, many individuals who have mixed indigenous blood. But it's these same individuals who are using their "privileges" to give back or do something.
